I won't beg you to stay

There'll be no strings to bind your hands
Not if my love can bind your heart
And there's no need to take a stand
For it was I who chose to start
I see no need to take me home
I'm old enough to face the dawn
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me, baby
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Then slowly turn away from me...
Maybe the sun's light will be dim
But it won't matter anyhow
If morning's echo says we've sinned
Well it was what I wanted now
And if we're victims of the night
I won't be blinded by the light
Just call me angel of the morning, angel...

I love this song, but never really noticed how gorgeous the lyrics are before - thank you for posting this! And as for your Obama post, wow - what a speech. It actually sent shivers up my spine. x

I just wanted to reply to your beautiful comment - it truly touched my heart. You have no idea how much faith it gave me to hear that, somehow in however small a way, I've helped someone keep believing in magic. Your blog is actually what inspired me to start writing mine. Also, yesterday morning, my family found out that my crazy old Irish Nanny (grandma!) has cancer, so your message brought me so much hope in every way. I can only begin to imagine the emotions you're going through, but all my love, sparkles and crumbs to help you deal, lovely. :) x
